Sion Bourne
Director & Registered Architect
MArch, BAppSc (Architecture)
Sion graduated with a Master of Architecture from Curtin University in 2015. Prior to establishing his own firm he worked with several design-led practices in Perth. His career has seen him gain experience across various scales and sectors including residential, cultural, education, health, commercial and heritage. He is registered with the Architects Board of Western Australia and is a member of the Association of Consulting Architects Australia.In parallel to professional practice Sion holds an undergraduate teaching position at the University of Western Australia’s School of Design. He routinely coordinates a second year housing studio and has previously taught first year structural fundamentals.
Sion enjoys spending time outdoors and with family. He is a member of Rockingham Triathlon Club & Peel District Cycling Club. He completed his first 70.3 in December 2023 and is currently training for a debut Ironman in December 2025.

Basim Boulos
Graduate of Architecture
MArch, BA (Physiology + Communication and Media Studies)Basim graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Western Australia in 2023. He is an avid writer and photographer, inside and outside of architecture. He is particularly interested in community as a multifaceted idea; architecture that is not just isolated to the occupants but speaks to tangible and intangible contexts.
In parallel to professional practice Basim holds an undergraduate teaching position at the University of Western Australia’s School of Design.
Outside of the office, Basim is usually in the ocean, playing football, pouring latte art, tending to a worm farm, or attempting to DJ.

Daniel Rowe
Consultant
Registered BuilderAs a registered builder with a strong background in timber frame construction, Daniel regularly provides technical and budgetary advice on Bourne Architecture's projects throughout their design and documentation phases. He has over 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial construction.
Daniel gained his timber frame construction expertise while completing his carpentry qualification in New Zealand, before expanding his commercial experience with major builders in Western Australia.
He is the Director of DGR Building Solutions who currently share space in our Kent St office. You can learn more about Daniel & DGR at his website.
